ETAK Srl is a climate tech startup developing modular waste-to-energy plants for local heat and power generation. ETAK helps municipalities, utilities and industrial energy users turn municipal waste, RDF and non-recyclable fractions into low-cost gas fuel. ETAK's goal is to reduce landfill dependence and replace part of purchased natural gas, biomass or market fuel with locally produced energy. ETAK uses a proprietary modular reactor to convert municipal waste, RDF, SRF and non-recyclable fractions into a high-calorific combustible gas mixture. The gas fuel can be used for heat, electricity or industrial process energy close to the point of demand. Unlike large incinerators, ETAK is compact, decentralized and designed to work alongside existing CHP plants, district heating stations, industrial boilers and energy infrastructure.
